Import Mbox into Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird.
- Go to Settings.
- From Settings, select Add-ons and Themes.
- In Extensions, search for ImportExportTools NG.
Select ImportExportTools NG and click Add to Thunderbird to install the extension.
This extension allows you to import MBOX files directly into Thunderbird.
- Go to the main email screen and navigate to Local Folders or any folder/account you prefer.
- Right-click on the folder, select ImportExportTools NG and then choose Import MBOX file.
- Select Individual MBOX files.
Navigate to the MBOX file with your Comcast email.
Note: The import process may take a few minutes, depending on the file size.
- In Outlook, you will get a folder with your @Comcast.net email (for this example, we are using Comcast-Client@comcast.net). Right-click on the folder, select ImportExportTools NG and then choose Import MBOX file —> Select Individual MBOX files.
- Your @Comcast.net inbox folder files (.Mbox) will be located within the Comcast-Client@comcast.net folder, which was unzipped along with your Mbox file. Note: This is done to preserve the folder structure.
12. Select all MBOX files found and complete the import process.
- Congratulations! You've successfully preserved your folder structure and completed the import into Thunderbird.
